Hey, pick a game above and ask me anything about rules, legality, sequencing, or list checks. I won't make up cards. If I don't know, I'll say so.

Frequently Asked

Answers to the questions people actually ask

Is Arbiter an AI deck builder?
No. Arbiter reviews lists and decks that you build. It will not generate an army list, Commander deck, or Standard 60 for you on demand. When you submit a list, Arbiter tells you whether it's legal, what the red flags are, what the expected matchups look like, and what rules interactions are worth knowing, it doesn't write the list.
What does Arbiter actually do with a submitted list?
  • Validates format legality, banned list, points cap, composition rules, duplicates, etc.
  • Analyzes against the current meta, flags obvious weaknesses or tech holes.
  • Pre-game intel, gives matchup insights once you're paired with an opponent in a league.
  • Answers rules questions, specific card/unit interactions in your list, in plain language.
Where does Arbiter's rules and card data come from?
Official, current sources, Scryfall for MTG card data (including errata and reskin handling), the official Warmachine MKIV app for Warmachine/Hordes data, and the official 40K rules and datasheets. Arbiter isn't hallucinating card text from an LLM's training data.
Does Arbiter play the game for me?
No. Arbiter is a judge and an assistant, not a player. It rules, reviews, rates, and reports. You play the game.
Can I use Arbiter outside of a Discord league?
Yes. The @mention-anywhere rules-judge feature works in any Discord channel Arbiter is in, and the web widget on this page lets anyone try rules questions without joining a server. List review and league features live inside the league Discord.

What We Do

Four disciplines. One studio.

Southside Studio & Hobbies badge

Built from passion.
Refined by craft.

Southside Studio & Hobbies started as a love of making things, and it never stopped. We run a full creative operation covering everything from precision 3D printing to custom miniature painting, graphic design, and software development.

On the software side, we build tools for the tabletop community, most notably Arbiter, our AI rules judge, list and deck reviewer, and league manager for MTG, Warhammer 40K, and Warmachine. Same ethos as the shop floor: practical, honest, built by people who actually play.

Whether you need a one-off print, a fully painted army, a logo that hits different, or a Python script that actually works, we've got you.

In-house. On purpose. Built different.
